About
My name is Franchesca Flores. I am a practicing artist and designer from San José, CA.
I love the freedom art gives me to express ideas in unexpected ways, but I thrive when I can bring in a problem-solving mindset and structure from my design background to give it direction and purpose. When I brainstorm, I’m drawn to the dramatic lighting of theatre, the quiet intimacy of cinematography, and the raw, tactile nature of materials. Through this lens, I’m always seeking ways to provoke emotion and spark a personal, genuine connection through my art and design.
Working as an artist, designer, and educator, I have developed an abundant skill set that ranges from developing brand identity for start-up brands; curating and writing thoughtful lesson plans; designing concepts and finals for print production; capturing storytelling photography; and delivering confident, engaging public presentations. I am fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and AfterEffects. My goal is to work in roles where I can leverage art and design to create authentic visuals that resonate and connect with people and their own experiences.
In my free time you can find me sketching ideas in my notebook, staying active in the gym, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
